Publishers can side step the anticipated disruption caused by the postal strikes planned for October by publishing and distributing their titles using online digital editions from YUDU Media.

Time-sensitive publications and subscription titles in particular can put their content on to the internet immediately and distribute it directly to their readers on the day they want, without any delays YUDU Media is offering a 50 per cent discount to these publications during the upcoming postal strikes

Two 48-hour strikes scheduled for 5 and 8 October will effectively cripple deliveries for five days - unless alternative distribution methods are used.

YUDU Media can convert printed documents into digital editions in minutes, which can then be published online and shared directly and instantly with readers.

Richard Stephenson, Chairman of YUDU Media, commented: "We usually see an upsurge in enquiries when there are postal strikes as publishers are looking for alternative ways to get their titles to people.

"Instead of bringing planned mailings forward, which puts pressure on the publishers, YUDU Publishing provides a platform to put forward that exact same title, online, with additional enhancements, delivered to the readers at the usual time.

"With a little bit of planning, situations like these can be avoided and be turned in to an opportunity to reach new customers with vibrant, digital content.

"Publishers can relax in the knowledge that the postal strike will not prove to be a problem for their readers".
