Xchangeteam searches for Freelancer of the Year

A Xchangeteam product story
Edited by the Marketingweek Marketplace editorial team Jul 30, 2007

The Xchangeteam Freelancer of the Year Awards are the only awards dedicated to showcasing the best in freelance talent in communications, marketing and creative services.

The awards help promote the value that freelancers bring to their clients' businesses and the industry as a whole adding considerable value to individual companies as well as UK plc.

Xchangeteam's CEO Emma Brierley is the leading voice in promoting freelance talent.

She said: "Many potential clients have yet to fully understand the quality of freelance talent available and the benefits that freelancers can bring to their business.

"The Xchangeteam Freelancer of the Year Awards serves to give freelancers a well deserved pat on the back, to acknowledge their work and celebrate their unsung achievements".

Last year's Awards saw over 150 entries and 39 finalists, resulting in six winners across seven categories.

This year's categories are: PR and Communications, Media (Planning, Buying and Sales), Events, Advertising and Design (Conceptual and creative), Advertising and Design (Account management), Editorial, Marketing, Public Affairs, Digital Excellence (cross-category).

Clients can nominate someone they've hired or someone they've worked with or freelancers can nominate themselves by completing the online application form.

Xchangeteam was launched in 1999 as a specialist freelance resourcing company in communications and PR - the first in the market.

It now offers freelance and permanent resourcing services across the communications and PR, marketing, events, design, advertising, media, digital and editorial sectors.

Xchangeteam's head office is in London.

Clients include leading corporates, agencies, charities and public sector organisations.

The company has a wealth of talent on its register - freelance consultants and permanent candidates - ranging from Junior Executives to Board Directors.

Emma Brierley's book Talent on Tap: Getting the best from freelancers, interims and consultants is available from Hannah Smith at the CIPD.
