Wyndeham Visual Communications expands

Wyndeham Visual Communications has opened a new London artwork and design studio and appointed James Norris as Business Development Director for the company's packaging division.

The new artwork and design facility in central London is the fourth operation in the fast expanding Packaging division of the Visual Communications Group and will specifically target growth in the Pan-European packaging markets.

The facility is fully integrated with Kestrel and JGA Design Strategies in Essex, and Connect in Manchester where the companies provide end-to-end packaging and brand management solutions for a wide portfolio of branded clients.

"We have established a new London facility in order to cope with the additional demand for work and are now able to offer a complete, multi-language artwork service from a convenient location in the city," said Mick Tooley, Chief Executive, Wyndeham Visual Communications.

The company has also announced the appointment of James Norris into the new role of Business Development Director.

Norris has 17 years' technical and client-facing experience in packaging, repro and print companies and was formerly UK Originations Manager at Alcan Packaging, where he co-ordinated the artwork, graphics and print tools for its packaging operations.

From 2004 he worked centrally for Alcan's procurement and best practice team, where he was responsible for the coordination of graphics and origination activity and worked directly with leading blue chip branded clients throughout Europe.

"We are delighted to welcome someone of James's calibre to join our expanding operations," said Tooley.

"He has a unique background of technical packaging experience and client facing skills and he will be a real asset to the business".

"To join WVC at this stage in its development is a really exciting opportunity," said Norris.

"I truly believe that we have a unique approach to the packaging supply chain.

"I am looking forward to utilising my knowledge and technical background to provide a diverse range of integrated packaging solutions to existing and prospective clients".

Wyndeham Visual Communications is the company that was formed by an MBO from the Wyndeham Press Group in November 2007.

The five companies in the VC group consist of the packaging businesses Kestrel, Connect and JGA Design Strategies, Colourlink, the retail and POS specialist, and Bespoke, the corporate solutions company.

Together the companies provide a unique single gateway providing unparalleled levels of brand and colour consistency across all areas of printed visual communication.
