Wyboston extends Wi-Fi coverage
Conference venue Wyboston Lakes has just completed an expansion of its Wi-Fi zone, so customers now have access to wireless networking and high-speed broadband throughout the site.
The Wi-Fi service is completely free of charge to all Wyboston Lakes' clients Although Wyboston Lakes was one of the first registered Wi-Fi zones in the UK in 2004, it was initially only available in public areas

Wyboston adds online booking facility
Wyboston Lakes, on the border of Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire, has introduced online accommodation booking for business and leisure travellers.
Clients found the Wi-Fi service of great value but wanted to utilise it during meetings and from the privacy of their bedrooms.
In response to this customer demand, the network is now accessible from the whole site including all training rooms, bedrooms and breakout areas at both the Robinson Executive Centre and the Waterfront (formerly the Lakes) Centre.
Customers with a wireless-enabled laptop just collect a secure access code from reception, which allows them to log into the network, interact with other users logged into the system, and access broadband internet.

Executive class at Wyboston Lakes
The second stage of a major refurbishment to the bedrooms at the Waterfront Centre, Wyboston Lakes, has now been completed.
They can then log into their own private intranet system securely, use webcam presentations or network between groups as an integral part of their training programmes.
As the network is now available in all bedrooms as well as the lounge areas, residents can then continue to use the service in the evenings from anywhere on site.
Mark Jennings, information services manager at Wyboston Lakes, commented: "Many venues offering broadband use standard ADSL connections, which can have contention ratios of up to 50:1 - this means that these lines have to be shared with many other subscribers, which limits transmission speed, so running live links or downloading large files during a meeting can be a problem.
"Wyboston Lakes has a dedicated 2MB leased line exclusive to this site, so our customers have access to high speeds at all times.
"We have also made significant investment in implementing comprehensive security including antivirus, intrusion protection and malware scanning, to protect our clients and their computers from the increasing numbers of internet threats".
Clive Bache, Wyboston Lakes' sales and marketing director, added: "At Wyboston Lakes we have always viewed Wi-Fi as a value added service and provided it free of charge for all our customers.
"IT communication plays a critical role in modern business, especially when customers are off site, so it is essential that all visitors have the same high-speed communication links and quality service they expect in their own office.
"It's this attention to detail that ensures our customers continue to use Wyboston Lakes as their venue of choice.".
