Click2Customers has detailed the benefits of online pay per click marketing and highlighted some of the issues that businesses should take into account when choosing an agency.

The company says that because of the current economic uncertainty and the fact that online marketing is more measurable and accountable than offline marketing, businesses should consider pay per click.

However, it warns that due diligence and common sense is needed when choosing an agency.

Factors it highlights that should be investigated by companies include how you would track ROI, whether you have a bid management tool, and what experience the agency has.

It also urges companies to look for analysts not marketers, to understand affiliate marketing, and to ensure the agency can do what it says it can by researching and requesting case studies.
