Adagio Teas selects Valassis for coupon promotion

Adagio Teas has selected Valassis to help drive trial and increase sales of its ready-to-drink iced tea range Anteadote in the offline environment with an on-pack coupon promotion.

The coupons will give a GBP0.20 discount on a 500ml bottle of the tea, which is available in green, black, oolong, white and jasmine flavours.

Adagio Teas is predominantly an online retailer, which entered the UK market just over a year ago.

In an effort to sell to more customers in a bricks-and-mortar environment, Adagio decided to use on-pack coupons to draw attention to the product and encourage customers to try it at a discount, without the need for a costly sampling campaign.

Stepas Parulis, marketing manager of Adagio Teas, said: 'The campaign is operating rather separately from the rest of Adagio's online marketing strategy.

'The coupons should give our customers the opportunity to try something new and healthy, while giving our retail partners one more reason to stock our products,' Parulis added.
