Learn marketing skills in East of
England
Sales and marketing professionals across the East of England can now study nationally recognised qualifications alongside their fulltime careers, thanks to a new partnership.
The Institute of Sales and Marketing Management (ISMM) has teamed up with the University of Bedfordshire to offer professionals the chance to gain accredited qualifications on a flexible part-time basis The new courses, which get under way in January 2008, will be offered through the University's business arm - the Knowledge Hub
Hannah Rees, Account Executive at the Knowledge Hub, said: "Many people who work in a sales and marketing role have experience in their field but do not hold a qualification that represents their skills and abilities.
"Employers recognise the ISMM qualifications and this can boost promotion or support job change.
"We will be offering three different courses depending on people's experience.
"The ISMM programmes are short courses designed to help people study alongside work; self-study and online support are also provided".
Delegates will complete assessments based on everyday sales situations without having to sit any timed examinations.
Qualifications include: Certificate in Sales and Marketing - designed for those starting a sales career or those with some experience who wish to gain a recognised qualification; Advanced Certificate in Sales and Marketing - based on sales at an operational level and covers the theoretical and practical skills required by both experienced and aspiring sales professionals; Diploma in Strategic Sales - for senior management with an emphasis on both sales management and key account management.
Those interested in these and other courses available via the Knowledge Hub are invited to an open evening on 5 December at Putteridge Bury Management Development Centre from 6-8pm.
