Twenga.co.uk, the UK's first impartial and most comprehensive shopping search engine, has added a host of new features set to make shopping online even easier and cheaper for consumers.

Features include product price history, development of an online voucher destination that brings together discount vouchers available on the internet and makes them available from one easy location and improved consumer retailer reviews The announcement coincides with visitor numbers to Twenga.co.uk reaching over 2 million unique users per month in just five month

Product price history: consumers can now see how a product has fluctuated in price over the course of its availability online, essentially enabling consumers to analyse individual product price trends and make their purchasing decision based on highs and lows.

Twenga users can also set up Twenga price alerts, which alert them each and every time a specific product drops in price.

Voucher destination: Twenga is the new, growing coupon site featuring vouchers and promotional codes in one easy to access section.

The vouchers enable consumers to benefit from offers such as discounted prices, free gifts and even free delivery.

Furthermore, consumers can sign up to an email newsletter, which will alert them to the latest vouchers as they appear.

Twenga score: Twenga's improved star rating enables consumers to rate retailers based on their purchasing experience, as well as assess a retailer's service and reliability on comments and recommendations made by other Twenga users.

"Year on year shoppers are abandoning the high street to do their shopping online and from the comfort of their own homes; our growth in the UK over the past five months is testament to this with over 2 million unique visitors coming to the site every month", said Bastien Duclaux, founder and CEO of Twenga.

"It's our job to make online shopping as easy and cost effective as possible and we are confident that the new features we are launching will do just that.

"Retailer reviews and price history tracking mean that consumers don't have to rely on price as a means of comparison or only deal with big brand retailers when shopping online.

"Consumers can now find the product they are looking for at the cheapest price, with the features they are looking for and understand whether the retailer offering that product is recommended by their peers or not".

Twenga is the leading next generation shopping search engine, committed to giving consumers the largest choice of products and retailers online, and the tools to make smarter decisions.

Twenga, meaning "straight to the point" in Swahili, prides itself on its true impartiality, listing search results by relevance, not commercial bias.

Its comprehensive product catalogue is fuelled by a proprietary crawl technology that enables the indexing of all products and retailers on the web.

Founded in September 2006 and headquartered in Paris, Twenga currently has sites in the UK, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Poland, Belgium and Switzerland.

Listing more than 40 million products from over 28,000 merchants, the Twenga sites are growing rapidly.

In December 2007, over 9.5 million unique visitors had landed on Twenga's sites.
