Berkmann Wine Cellars develops new website
Full service digital agency twentysix Leeds has been appointed by wholesale wine distributor Berkmann Wine Cellars to develop a new website, due to launch at the end of August.
Berkmann Wine Cellars was founded in 1964 to supply wines to Joseph Berkmann's group of London restaurants.
The company now operates out of five offices across the UK and supplies to over 5,000 restaurants, hotels and retailers from its holdings of over 1,000 wines from some of the world's finest producers.
The new website is part of Berkmann's efforts to rebrand itself with a more modern feel, while maintaining its heritage as a major driving force in the UK wine market.
To this end, the site will incorporate the company's new branding, principally targeting trade customers, but also acting as an information gateway for everyone from customers to suppliers and company personnel.
Twentysix Leeds will work on developing the new site with revamped content and design, optimal navigation and usability.
The site will include a searchable database of all Berkmann's product offerings, a bank of downloadable images, notes on wine tasting, a history of the company, a listing of awards and information on wine producers.
Commenting on the new branding effort, Alex Hunt at Berkmann Wine Cellars said: "Berkmann has a long history as a leading distributor of fine wines; we look forward to working with twentysix in leveraging that heritage and introducing a fresh, modern touch to the Berkmann brand".
