Blinko launches new brand image

Blinko, the global consumer brand for mobile VAS, has a new look and feel to strengthen awareness of the brand and its unique products and services among mobile entertainment users worldwide.

Buongiorno, multinational leader in digital entertainment, is launching a totally new look and feel for Blinko, its global consumer brand for mobile Value Added Services The rebranding project's objectives are to re-present Blinko to existing and prospective customers, motivate its team of more than 700 professionals around the world and create increased shareholder value in the Blinko business

The brand strategy and new brand identity have been developed by international branding consultancy Turquoise.

The strategic positioning of 'Activating Entertainment' was developed for the brand and this is being underpinned by the consumer strapline "Love Entertainment - Love Blinko" which can be adapted, depending on the focus of each communication: such as "Love chat - Love Blinko".

Accordingly, the bold new logo, which uses digital steel 3D type with a glass-like effect on a red background, emphasises the same 'Love' message by using a heart device as the 'B' in the name.

The fresh, dynamic identity includes a new logo as well as a series of properties developed for all entertainment genres: video, games, music, sport and love/chat.

Turquoise has then applied these properties and brand icons across all key internal and external brand touchpoints.

The new branding also includes a 'swirl' device to demonstrate movement, dynamism and energy, illustrating the excitement of what happens when the Blinko button is activated.

They have been tested on all iterations of the brand, online, on wap and on conventional media.
