Leading print solutions company NCS has invested over GBP500k in the refurbishment of its innovative demonstration centre to emphasise its growing presence in the wide format market.

The significant venture from NCS Group includes an exclusivity deal to be the only UK-based supplier to possess, and distribute, the pioneering Durst Rho 600 Flatbed UV Inkjet Printer The unique demo centre houses the company's latest product portfolio and enables NCS to invite clients to its Newcastle-based headquarters to see how the equipment and software can benefit their live projects

Business development manager at NCS Group, Garry Brown, said: "With such cutting-edge equipment, it is vital to provide exceptionally high levels of support to our clients from the onset to ensure they reap the rewards of the sophisticated technology.

""We now have 25 experienced and trained engineers constantly on the road across the UK to ensure the equipment and software we supply are running at optimum efficiency that ultimately enables customer profitability.

"NCS has confirmed the first delivery and installation of a Durst Rho 600 to Teesside-based Symbol Signs and is working closely with the sign maker to ensure the kit is running smoothly and delivering its requirements".

Commenting on the new Durst, Brad Thurrell, managing director at Symbol Signs, said: "The team at NCS have done a terrific job in integrating the Durst to complement our existing capabilities.

We have definitely benefited from the peace of mind and cost savings of working exclusively with NCS as a partner, as opposed to using several suppliers for specific elements of the project.

"The Durst has been an excellent time saver as it allows us to print direct to media and on a variety of substrates.

"It is no doubt the best of the affordable generation and has already exceeded our expectations.

With its impressive product portfolio, NCS provides clients with printing equipment, enabling software, consumables and ongoing maintenance.

As opposed to outsourcing particular elements of a project, the company offers a comprehensive service including installation, commissioning, training and ongoing support.

With offices in London and Leeds, the NCS Group has a projected turnover of GBP18m this year.

Set up almost 30 years ago, the company currently has 65 employees and is continuing its recruitment drive.
