Newmarket starts multichannel direct
response push

Integrated agency Truth has launched a multichannel direct response campaign for its client Newmarket Racecourses, featuring a discount offer on all online bookings.

The press, outdoor (48-sheets and four-sheets) and radio campaign is to promote The Newmarket Festival running on 10-13 July, which features a farewell concert by G4, plus Classic FM Day, Lanson Ladies' Day and Darley July Cup day; three days of racing in a garden party atmosphere Gaynor Haxby, Head Of Marketing at Newmarket Racecourses, commented: "The Newmarket Festival is a brand new event; the heart of the festival will be the annual Ritz Club July Festival of world class racing

"We will be unveiling the fabulous new July course following its £10million redevelopment which began last September.

"In addition, this year we have reached out to the local community and brought together all parts of the town of Newmarket in a four-day festival of events and activities including shopping, fine dining and classical music.

"Truth's creative work perfectly captures the magic of this unmissable summer event which deserves a place in everyone's social diary".

Mike Berry, Managing Director of Truth, added: "We really enjoyed working on this brief - we used illustration, taking our inspiration from the classic Railway posters of the 1930s.

"We have created a strongly branded campaign with an attractive summery look and feel which communicates the elegant garden party ambience of the Newmarket Festival.

"Newmarket Racecourses have allowed us to offer a straight 20% discount on all online bookings which is a powerful promotional hook.

"We are currently planning more tactical direct response and online activity for the three days of the Ritz Club July Festival and other Newmarket events.".
