Christmas comes early for HMV

A TradeDoubler product story
Edited by the Marketingservicestalk editorial team Nov 29, 2007

Christmas cheer is descending on the teams at TradeDoubler and client hmv.com as they celebrate their recent success in the Best Use of Affiliate Marketing category at the annual IMA Awards.

This is the first affiliate-specific category of its kind on the industry awards circuit and is a testament to the growing importance of this channel in clients' digital marketing budgets to warrant individual recognition.

HMV's site fought off stiff competition from Jessops, the second TradeDoubler client to be shortlisted, 3 Mobile (agency: Summit Media) and CreditExpert Financial (agency: Experian) to claim the accolade.

"We are over the moon with the win", said Dan Thut, Affiliate Manager at hmv.com.

"Working with TradeDoubler over the past three years our programme has shown impressive year-on-year growth, and this award is well-deserved recognition of that fact".

Jim Brigden, MD of TradeDoubler UK commented: "This is a fantastic round-up to another record-breaking year for TradeDoubler's clients.

"With figures of 368 per cent growth in sales value and a ROI ratio of 1:9 it is no surprise that hmv.com were clear winners.

"It is only a shame that only one client is able to pick up the award as we could have had plenty more in the running".

For TradeDoubler, this is just the brandy butter on the Christmas pudding after a recent spate of significant client wins and contract extensions with the Arcadia Group brands, ebookers, AA Insurance, Which?, Waitrose and BT.

PC World also recently announced their return to the TradeDoubler network after leaving earlier in the year.
