Trimedia appointed to promote BiG

PR consultancy Trimedia UK has been appointed by BiG - Make it Your Business, a Sheffield-based body that aims to boost enterprise in Sheffield by helping more people to set up in business.

BiG - Make it Your Business aims to boost enterprise by supporting sustainable business growth and increasing the success rate of locally owned businesses in Sheffield.

The account was won as a result of a competitive proposal submission and pitch.

It will be run out of Trimedia's Leeds office and the team will lead an ongoing communications campaign, stakeholder communications and events programme for BiG - Make it Your Business.

Joanne Ash, from BiG: Make it Your Business, said: "Trimedia has been appointed to carry out the PR and Marketing for Sheffield's Local Enterprise Growth Initiative, BiG - Make it Your Business.

"Trimedia showed a superb level of understanding of our objectives and how they could link in and help us effectively promote entrepreneurship and enterprise in Sheffield.

"BiG - Make it Your Business is a programme of business support activities designed to help people from Sheffield's least economically developed communities set up in business or grow and develop their existing business; Trimedia presented us with a thorough and well-thought-out offering that will enhance the programme delivery".

Justin McKeown, divisional director at Trimedia, said: "It's great to get the opportunity to work with BiG - Make it Your Business, particularly to encourage new business start-ups in an exciting city that is continually developing.

More than 160 staff are employed in Trimedia's 13 offices across the UK including Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Manchester and Southampton.
