BT and Trimedia recognised for CSR
efforts
Leeds-based Trimedia travelled to Washington DC to compete in the annual PR News' CSR Awards.
Trimedia's biggest client, BT, was the only UK company to be recognised as a leader in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Trimedia collected the award on BT's behalf, from among a distinguished field of international brands, including Staples, Shell Oil and Nike

Trimedia's victory came in the Corporate-Community Partnership category, for BT's support of ChildLine.
BT also achieved an honourable mention in the Employee Relations category for the BT Community Champions initiative, which the company delivers with support from agency Limelight Community.
Presented by PR News, the publication covering the public relations industry, the CSR Awards recognise people and companies that successfully demonstrate that altruism, philanthropy and employee commitment to "do good" can go a long way towards making an impact on a community, key stakeholders and a company's bottom line.
Trimedia has worked with BT for 16 years and on its CSR for the past eight.
James Wright, Trimedia's Director of CSR, said: "We have worked with BT providing strategic communications counsel on media and stakeholder activity for over eight years.
"ChildLine has undergone a series of changes in recent times that BT has positively endorsed and supported, which has secured the long-term future of the service and revolutionised the way the charity reaches young people.
"We're proud to accept this award in partnership with BT and to help them celebrate this leading community partnership".
Beth Courtier, who was unable to attend the awards ceremony, was delighted that Kevin Moss, Head of CSR for BT America (who is based in Washington DC), was able to represent BT at the ceremony.
She added: "It is terrific to have international recognition for our groundbreaking partnership with ChildLine.
"Winning PR News' Global CSR Award shows what an exemplary partnership we have established.
"Although it is a UK partnership, the key principles that we have learned can be applied at a global level.
"What's particularly exciting about our collaboration with ChildLine is that while we were a founding partner for the charity, back in 1986, we continue to innovate and add real value to the partnership.
"Every year we discover push the boundaries of corporate and charity partnership and something new together: we're looking forward to future achievements together".
