The finalists in The EIM Marketing Strategy of the Year Award have been announced for this year's National Business Awards, sponsored by Orange.

The finalists are: Bigmouthmedia (Edinburgh); British Heart Foundation (London); Charteredbrands (Edinburgh); Maris Interiors (London); New Southern (Railway) (Croydon); Renaissance Chancery Court (London); Joint entrants Rise Communications and RandR (Northallerton); Southern Water (Worthing); Speedy Hire (Newton le Willows); stv (Glasgow).

The teams will now prepare to make their presentations in person to a further panel of expert judges, including senior executives, academics and business specialists, in early October.

The judges will make the award to a specific marketing campaign in the period 1January 2006 to 31 May 2007 that has achieved high levels of commercial success for the relevant product or service.

The judges will look for innovation and a clearly expressed and articulated objective-led campaign strategy leading to measurable and verifiable business results.

Steve Davies, managing partner, Experian Integrated Marketing, sponsors of the Marketing Strategy of the Year award, commented: "The EIM Marketing Strategy of the Year Award showcases the UK's most powerful marketing campaigns and it's a massive achievement to be named as a finalist.

"The judging's going to be tough, but the successful finalist will join last year's winner, the Department for Transport, and be recognised as a true marketing pioneer.

"This is huge accolade to receive and we wish all of the finalists the best of luck in early October".

Winners of all 18 categories will receive their awards at a glittering gala dinner and ceremony, hosted by Sir Trevor McDonald, at London's Grosvenor House Hotel on Tuesday 13 November.

The National Business Awards recognises and rewards excellence, innovation and success.
