NBA announces Marketing Strategy finalists
The finalists in The EIM Marketing Strategy of the Year Award have been announced for this year's National Business Awards, sponsored by Orange.
The judges will look for innovation and a clearly expressed and articulated objective-led campaign strategy leading to measurable and verifiable business results.
Last year's winner was The Department for Transport, which scooped the accolade for its THINK! road safety campaign.
Aimed at reducing the number of teenagers killed or seriously injured on British roads, the government body's campaign centred round a 30-second TV advertisement, which broke new ground by being the first commercial to be unscripted and filmed through a mobile phone camera.
Sponsored by Orange, the Awards recognise and reward excellence, innovation and success.
Uniquely open to organisations of all sizes and from any industry sector, the Awards allow the best of British businesses to showcase their achievements and benchmark their successes against firms and bodies of all types: the combined turnover of entrants in 2006's national programme was £366 billion with a profit of £32billion, while it represented 1.8 million UK employees and 250,000 personnel overseas.
Made up of 18 categories, shortlisted finalists will be announced in late August before preparing to make their presentations in person before an independent expert judging panel in late September/early October.
Winners will be unveiled at a glittering gala awards ceremony and dinner at London's Grosvenor House Hotel on 13 November.
