Totally Dynamic has been appointed by the Alton Towers Resort to give a creative facelift to the theme park's monorail system.

Totally Dynamic's team covered each of the eight trains with an individually custom-designed theme.

Each train has nine carriages so, in total, 72 carriages were covered on both the interior and exterior in new designs.

Adrian Rope, managing director of Totally Dynamic, explained that the monorail presented some interesting challenges that required extensive technical skills.

He said: 'The trains and the carriages had become a little tired over the years, so the preparation of the bodywork - which is vital for the wrap to adhere properly to the coach - had to be perfect.

'Repainting parts of some of the carriages was also involved.

'In addition, the wrap had to go right round the carriages, across windows and over recessed doors, to create one flowing image.

Totally Dynamic worked within the monorail's scheduled repair and maintenance operation, so that there was no unnecessary disruption to holidaymakers' enjoyment.

The company was chosen to carry out this project by Sarner, which devised the themes, working closely with the marketing department at the Alton Towers Resort.

Sarner also designed the artwork for each of the revamped trains.
