Nike chooses Totally Dynamic for golf tour vehicle
Global sports company Nike has chosen Totally Dynamic's vehicle wrapping expertise to give its flagship European Tour Vehicle a striking new look.
This was to provide active support for the concept from the city's residents by vinyl-wrapping five of the Council's refuse truck fleet in bright, bold, hard-to-miss liveries that hammer home the message that recycling is the right thing to do.
Elizabeth Wray from York Council said the creative approach, developed in partnership with vehicle wrapping specialist Totally Dynamic, has been a winner.
"While it isn't often people actually pay any attention to a recycling truck going past, if they are bright orange, turquoise, blue or green, they will - and if they carry a well-directed message then that will get across and stick in their mind", said Wray.
"Our designs are bright and bold, portraying our key recycling message while the vehicles carry out their collections.
"The vehicles have now become readily recognised on the streets of York and so for the Council it has been a winning combination".
Lee White, owner of Totally Dynamic's Leeds/Bradford centre, and his team vinyl-wrapped five huge refuse trucks and a Ford Fiesta van in bright colours adding striking cartoon characters seen in a concurrent TV advertising campaign along with basic, forceful information on the importance of recycling.
White said: "The concept was simple - create a brighter image and make people sit up and take notice.
"As a direct result of the wrapping campaign there's been a huge surge in York in the amount of waste being deposited for recycling".
