Charlton Athletic FC, the south-east London football team, is searching for sponsors to support the club and its community trust activities.

The championship club has appointed Touchdown Marketing, Europe's leading affinity marketing specialists, to secure business partners and sponsorships for the club, with the potential to incorporate the club's Community Trust Charlton Athletic is particularly keen to work with a credible brand that complements its family and community-oriented values and supports a healthy lifestyle

Steve Sutherland, commercial director at Charlton Athletic, said: "The club has a loyal and highly committed fan base which we communicate to on a daily basis.

"Additionally we currently help over 500,000 people through our local initiatives, including uniquely housing Greenwich Community College on our premises.

"We want to team up with a sponsor who shares our enthusiasm and sense of community, who we can wholeheartedly endorse to our supporters".

The club also supports community activities outside the UK, launching Spanish Soccer Schools and training South African teachers in some of the region's poor townships, as sports coaches to encourage sports development.
