Digitaltmw, the digital arm of integrated agency Tullo Marshall Warren, has developed an integrated campaign comprising email and a new website for National Express East Coast.

The innovative new website will give passengers access to the latest travel information and services quickly and efficiently National Express East Coast is the new operator of the Inter City East Coast, having taken over the running of the popular East Coast rail franchise, which was previously operated by GNER

National Express East Coast is targeting around 1.1 million customers with an email to inform them of the change of ownership as well as encourage them to re-register on the new website.

TMW has built a content management system, which integrates with a new online booking engine.

Customers will be able to explore different combinations of fares and save ticket options to purchase later - and view these details from one screen - making it easier for them to compare journeys and make a decision.

There's even an option to buy tickets for multiple journeys in one order.

Customers who decide they want to cancel trips, or amend their journey, can do this online too.

In addition, customers are being given a 10 per cent discount off the lowest advance fares when they book online.

Kylie Radford, Account Supervisor at digitaltmw, said: "Our experience in developing successful websites for other large blue-chip clients has been invaluable; we hope the new website will help National Express East Coast to achieve its vision of being a leading provider and retailer of transport products and services".

The National Express Group is well known as a leading international transport provider carrying out one billion journeys a year worldwide on buses, trains, light rail and express coaches.

Rail travel is an area where the National Express Group has an established track record as one of the best performing train operators.

The National Express Group was recently named overall winner of the business-to-business category in the 2007 Customer Experience Awards; it received the accolade for its consistent focus on customer satisfaction and in particular the fact that it listens to its customers and delivers what they want.

Emma Passey, e-Commerce Manager at National Express East Coast, added: "Our aim is to deliver on our promise of making travel simpler for our passengers by offering a contemporary and value-for-money service; the website TMW has created looks great and is testimony to the efforts of the whole team that we are leading the way in rail travel".

Leading integrated agency Tullo Marshall Warren (TMW) was established 20 years ago by Richard Marshall, Chris Warren and Paul Tullo.

The agency was launched from humble beginnings in a small office in Stockwell, south London.

Today, TMW is located in rather more salubrious surroundings on the King's Road and has become one of the UK's largest direct marketing agencies and employs a strong team of over 220 staff.

It offers a full range of services from strategy and planning through to creation, implementation and measurement.

And, with its subsidiary divisions - digitaltmw (digital and online consultancy), insighttmw (database consultancy and analysis), publishingtmw (targeted customer magazines) and strategytmw (strategic planning) - it is at the forefront of new thinking, focusing more on customer needs and aspirations and how to fulfil them.

In 2006, TMW was acquired by Creston, the diversified marketing services group.

The acquisition of TMW formed part of Creston's strategy to build a diversified marketing services group through a combination of organic growth and selective acquisitions.

The agency works with some of the most recognisable brand names in the business including Nissan, Unilever, T-Mobile, British Airways and Diageo.
