Glasgow Science Centre honoured for
innovation
Glasgow Science Centre (GSC) has won The Marketing Strategy of the Year Award in the 2007 National Business Awards for Scotland, sponsored by Orange.
Presented with the accolade at a glittering ceremony and gala dinner at the Glasgow Hilton Hotel, the firm beat off stiff competition from ASDA, Bigmouthmedia, Chartered Brands and stv Glasgow Science Centre is an education charity, which offers a range of fun and interactive ways to learn about science and technology

Scottish business awards reveal finalists
The finalists in The Marketing Strategy of the Year Award category have been announced for this year's National Business Awards for Scotland, sponsored by Orange.
The visitor experience encompasses an IMAX cinema (showing 2D/3D films), the Science Mall, which houses hundreds of hands-on exhibits, daily live science shows and workshops, ScottishPower Planetarium, Climate Change Theatre and Glasgow Tower.
Graeme Good, head of direct channels, Orange Business Services, said: "All the winners of the National Business Awards for Scotland demonstrate drive, passion and optimism for business.

Its 'Alice Through the Looking Glass' campaign was a truly customer focused initiative designed to increase visitor numbers and generate a more diverse audience.
It used a mix of marketing techniques to appeal to new visitors by applying science experiences to deliver magical theatre.
GSC is Scotland's fourth most popular paid-for visitor attraction appealing especially to the 5-14 year-old market.
It developed its new strategy to appeal to families with children under five, generating new revenues and also to refresh the Science Mall to its 46 per cent repeat visitors.
It made full use of its customer insight and developed a campaign which left its customers transfixed through use of live media, magic shows and hands-on exhibits.
The National Business Awards for Scotland recognises and rewards excellence, innovation and success.
