Marketing strategy award calls for entry
Companies are invited to enter the Marketing Strategy of the Year category of The National Business Awards for Scotland 2007.

Scottish business awards reveal finalists
The finalists in The Marketing Strategy of the Year Award category have been announced for this year's National Business Awards for Scotland, sponsored by Orange.
The closing date for entries is Tuesday 22 May 2007.
The judges of this category will make the Award to a specific marketing campaign run in the period 1 January 2006 to 31 May 2007 that has achieved high levels of commercial success for the relevant product or service.
The judges will look for innovation and a clearly expressed and articulated objective-led campaign strategy leading to measurable and verifiable business results.
The National Business Awards for Scotland, sponsored by Orange, allow the best of Scottish businesses to showcase their achievements and benchmark their successes against firms and bodies of all types.
The total entry in the 2006 event had a combined turnover of GBP22billion, generated profits of GBP8.3billion (which accounts for around 30 per cent of Scotland's GDP) and employed over 300,000 people.
Shortlisted finalists in each of the 14 categories will be announced in early June before preparing to make their presentations in person before an independent, expert judging panel in mid to late July.
Winners will be unveiled at a glittering gala Awards ceremony in Glasgow on 13 September.
The categories are: The Marketing Strategy of the Year Award; The Business of the Year Award; The Baker Tilly Entrepreneur of the Year Award; The Weber Shandwick Employer of the Year Award; The Customer Focus Award; The Orange Best Use of Technology in Business Award; The Atos Origin Award for e-Enablement; The Danwood Growth Strategy of the Year Award; The AXA Small to Medium Sized Business of the Year Award; The Environmental Awareness Award; The Oracle Business Innovation of the Year Award; The ProjectScotland Corporate Social Responsibility Award; The VisitScotland Tourism Business of the Year Award; The LogicaCMG Leadership Award.
East Kilbride-based Glencairn Crystal with Circuit Break won the 2006 Marketing Strategy of the Year Award for the development, launch and marketing of its bespoke whisky glass, the Glencairn Glass.
Achieving high levels of commercial success for the firm, the tailor-made glass specifically designed for whisky tasting and drinking was warmly received by the whisky industry.
