Girls Aloud go mobile for Plymouth

A Tixmob product story
Edited by the Marketingservicestalk editorial team Jul 18, 2007

Pop sensations Girls Aloud will minimise their impact on the local environment when they perform at Newham Park, Plymton, in August by delivering tickets to fans via mobile.

The use of mobile ticketing for the event will eliminate the environmental and financial cost of printing and delivering traditional paper-based tickets.

The girl band will be one of the first, and certainly the most popular band, in the UK to use mobile ticketing, whereby fans log on to tixmob.com, the mobile ticketing website, and pay for their tickets using a credit or debit card.

Tickets are then delivered direct to the customer's mobile phone.

The live Girls Aloud concert will be held on Saturday 11 August 2007 at Newnham Park, Plympton.

A huge array of support music will be provided throughout the day by Booty Luv, Eton Road(X Factor) as well as top local bands, Joey The Lips, Morph, Natalia, and Karrallon.

The event is being supported by local businesses including Plymouth Dairies.
