Publicis Dialog runs Queen's Awards DM
drive
Publicis Dialog is launching a major direct marketing drive to encourage firms of all sizes to apply for a Queen's Award for Enterprise before the deadline of 31 October.
Launched on 3 September 2007, the new direct marketing campaign features a mix of email, direct mail and outbound telemarketing It targets over 170,000 contacts within businesses throughout the UK, including previous winners and applicants, as well as new prospects
A key aim of the new campaign is to drive traffic to the Queen's Awards' website, where, for the first time in the history of the Awards, applications can be submitted online.
The Queen's Awards for Enterprise are widely regarded as the UK's top honour for business success and the equivalent of a 'corporate knighthood'.
The Awards are open to companies of all sizes that can demonstrate outstanding achievement in either International Trade, Innovation or Sustainable Development.
The creative approach for this year's launch mail piece places the name and address of targeted companies amongst a list of this year's 117 winning companies, with the message "Don't you feel you've earned your place amongst them?" Inside the envelope, a six-page brochure uses quotes from recent winners on the benefits of winning a Queen's Award, alongside tailored letters featuring the distinctive Queen's Award Emblem.
New prospects are being targeted exclusively through email this year, with an initial communication to around 145,000 contacts.
This creative will also incorporate the list of last year's winners along with quotes communicating the benefits, with tailored versions for small and large businesses.
Follow-up mailings and emails will be combined with an intensive telemarketing campaign by RAM in September and October to secure as many completed applications as possible before the deadline.
Steve Brice, Secretary of The Queen's Awards Office, commented: "Research shows that 80 per cent of companies who apply for a Queen's Award submit their applications in the final two weeks before the deadline - unlike other award schemes, there are no extensions on applications for The Queen's Awards, so it's vital companies don't leave it too late.
"This intensive campaign will play a crucial role in driving awareness and applications for this year's Queen's Awards for Enterprise".
This is the seventh year running that Publicis Dialog has masterminded the direct marketing for The Queens' Awards promotional campaign.
