The Communications Network (TCN) is expanding its series of executive roundtable dinners, as part of the drive to increase networking opportunities at all levels within the ICT industry.

Launched in 2006 and currently sponsored by TCN corporate member SAS, the roundtable dinners have proven highly successful in attracting some of the ICT industry's leading figures from a wide range of companies, including AOL, BT, Carphone Warehouse, Fujitsu, Orange, 02 and Vodafone .

"The executive roundtable dinners, which take place at Claridge's, provide an ideal high-level opportunity to network and discuss issues of topical or industry interest in a highly informal and relaxed atmosphere," said TCN chief executive, Brendan O'Mahony.

Previous speakers have included Michael Portillo, Dame Stella Rimington, and Andrew Neil.

Forthcoming events will be targeted at chief marketing officers (11 July), and chief executive officers (17 July) and will feature guest speakers Boris Johnson MP and John Humphrys.

The Communications Network (TCN) is the leading professional body for the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) industry and provides its members with the latest information on technological developments and industry trends, effective networking opportunities and professional development programmes.

Founded in 1906, TCN currently has over 11,000 individual members representing over 140 companies and a cross-section of professions within the industry.

Corporate members include BT, Cable and Wireless, Comtec, ECI, Fujitsu, Greenwoods, HP, Huawei, JDSU, NTL, Parsons, Porta Systems, SAS, 3M, Viatel and Wrekin.

TCN is also leading an initiative to identify cross-industry frameworks and accredited training for people employed within the ICT sector.
