CIM forms interest group for social marketing
The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) has announced the formation of a specialised Market Interest Group (MIG) for social marketing.
The group welcomes all marketers that work in, or are interested in social marketing.
Over the last 10 years, social marketing has developed as a strategic approach for governments and other organisations aiming to influence positive social and environmental change.
There is growing evidence demonstrating how it can improve and enhance the impact and effectiveness of commercial sector techniques and approaches.
Veronica Sharp, director of the Social Marketing Practice, has been elected chair of the group.
