The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) has announced that its learning day conference on 29 September 2009 in London will focus on the importance of adaptability in marketing.

Prof Jean-Claude Larreche of Insead and Martha Rogers of the Peppers and Rogers Group are keynote speakers at the event, which will be held at Grange St Paul's hotel.

The conference, chaired by writer, radio and television presenter John Humphrys, has been designed as a fast-track learning day and aims to give delegates practical help to benefit from changing consumer needs as well as exploiting the opportunities that the current economic climate has created.

The CIM's Annual National Conference, entitled 'Marketing Adaptability: Survival of the Fittest', will examine four key areas: marketing strategy, customer relationship management, marketing communications, and stakeholder management.

Presentations from specialist marketing academics will be supported and illustrated with real-life case studies from practitioners in each area.
