CIM event explains how to avoid bad spin
The Chartered Institute of Marketing has announced an event that will educate businesses how they can get the media reputation they deserve, set for 26 March at the Hilton hotel, Douglas.
Stewart Gowans, a public relations expert, will explain how businesses can stand out from the crowd, how they can get balanced media coverage, and also avoid what he calls 'bad spin'.
He will also examine if new technology - the web, blogging, social networking sites - offer new opportunities, or new threats, to corporate reputation.
The event is sponsored by IsleofMan.com Limited and is free for Chartered Institute of Marketing members and GBP9.80 for non members.
Price includes refreshments.
Registration is available from 17:30 with the event starting at 18:00, running for approximately one hour.
