CIM launches mentoring programme in Bristol
Marketers in Bristol will have the opportunity to discuss their business challenges with experts at the launch of a mentoring programme.
Organised by the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), 'Meet a Mentor' will begin at 18:00 on 25 March at the Grant Bradley Gallery in Bedminster.
The mentor programme aims to encourage and support the career and business development of marketers in the region by offering support on a one-to-one basis from professional chartered marketers.
Open to local members, it offers an opportunity to gain expert marketing guidance and learn skills and strategic approaches that can be vital to business survival.
The mentors will be from a cross section of industries and will be represented by those with marketing specialisms, as well as general practitioners.
Jane Silk, chair of the Chartered Institute of Marketing Bristol and West branch, said: 'All the mentee and mentor need to do is commit to at least three hours of meetings over a period of a year.
Mentees wishing to express an interest in the programme should register for the event via the institute's website by 11 March 2009.
