The Marketing Live conference, held in association with the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), will be held at the Royal Armouries in Leeds on 19 March 2009.

The conference, supported by Royal Armouries and organised by the Whyman Group, will explore the importance and value of marketing in a changing economy.

The event, of which Microsoft Advertising is an associate sponsor, will run like a television programme and will be hosted by Sky News presenter Adrienne Lawler.

The Marketing Live TV format consists of interviews, panel discussions, debates and pre-recorded interviews with highly respected individuals from the world of marketing.

Marketing Live, aimed at anyone with a responsibility for marketing a business, will demonstrate new techniques in the sector and how businesses can thrive in the new economy, as well as providing a networking opportunity.

Visitors will also be able to speak to successful case study businesses who have exploited the current economic change to their advantage.

A number of speakers, including authors from the world of marketing alongside marketing directors from some of the world's biggest brands, have been identified.

The full speaker list will be announced early in 2009.
