The Marketing Store has appointed David Bender as the agency's new chief executive officer, replacing Graham Kemp who retired at the beginning of the year.

David Bender joins The Marketing Store from his role as CEO of sister company HAVI Global Solutions In the last 15 years, he has been responsible for building HAVI Global Solutions into one of the most successful businesses in its sector, and has been responsible for developing closer relationships with McDonald's

Prior to joining HAVI Global Solutions in 1992 Bender worked for IBM in international sales and marketing.

At HAVI, he led various areas including marketing, client services, technical services and system services before becoming president of international and in 2005 taking on the role of CEO.

He will be based at the agency's head office in Chicago.

In addition, the agency has made a number of other senior global appointments as it seeks to build on the momentum established in 2006.

New to the management team is Angelique Green as global vice president, people and practices for The Marketing Store.

Green joins from LBi, Europe's largest digital marketing agency, where she was responsible for developing its people strategy and providing HR executive leadership.

Before LBi, she was with Starbucks Coffee Company for ten years.

While at Starbucks, she led learning and organisational development strategies to support licensed partnerships throughout Asia, Europe, and Latin America.

She has an MBA from Cranfield School of Management and will initially be located in The Marketing Store's London office.

John Hilbrich has been promoted to global president - agency services.

He began his career with The Marketing Store in 2001, heading up the agency services office in Toronto, Canada.

He and his team in Toronto have done an outstanding job establishing themselves as a leading marketing agency and its CRM Nissan business has been at the forefront of its successes.

Prior to joining The Marketing Store, Hilbrich worked with Leo Burnett in the US, Canada and abroad in various lead client service positions.
