The Parkinson's Disease Society is launching a warm campaign encouraging donors to help raise additional funds to support friends and families of people with the condition.
TDA has devised the direct marketing campaign which includes a letter from the PDS's President, Jane Asher She highlights the need for support for everyone whose lives have been affected by the condition

"The financial and emotional strain is tremendous and relationship dynamics can alter rapidly, leading to a rollercoaster of stress, isolation and depression.
"We want to reach out and help the friends and families of people with Parkinson's so that they can have a more positive outlook".
"This campaign recognises and celebrates the wonderful support work that goes on behind the scenes in the everyday lives of people living with Parkinson's," said Paul Stonuary, Account Director at TDA.
"Our aim is to elicit a compassionate response and encourage supporters to dig deep".
The PDS is a registered charity established in 1969.
It provides support, advice and information to people with Parkinson's, their carers, families and friends, as well as to health and social services professionals involved in management and care.
The PDS is the leading source of non-commercial research funding in the UK for the study of all aspects of Parkinson's.
