Supplementary to the standard Royal Web and the recent additions of the Royal Web FSC and PEFC grades, Sappi's Blackburn Mill has now launched Royal Web Recycled Silk.

This grade was especially developed for the UK market and it contains 50 per cent post-consumer waste and is 100 per cent sustainable, using pulp from renewable resources It is FSC accredited with the pulps delivered from chain of custody certified pulp suppliers

Furthermore, resulting from the fact that Blackburn is situated at the heart of the UK, all purchases in the UK will help to reduce the carbon footprint of each UK delivery.

"Environmental considerations are increasingly important in our industry and consumers today are very interested to source their products in a responsible way," said Chris Diacon, Managing Director of the Sappi UK Sales Office.

"A lot of UK companies and printers understand this concern and we proactively anticipate our customers' needs by providing continuous environmental improvement of our papers and processes.

"The development of the Royal Web Recycled quality is further testiment to our endeavours to be an environmentally conscious partner of the print and publishing industry.

"Even better news is that this greener version of Royal Web does not mean we compromised on quality - the new range looks exactly like the already established and widely appreciated Royal Web products".

Royal Web Recycled is currently available in Silk with a grammage range from 90 to 130g/m with 80 and 150g/m, subject to availability.

Sappi's Royal papers include Royal Roto, Royal Xpress, Royal Web, Royal Press and Royal Print, which are primarily used for magazines, top-quality catalogues and brochures, schoolbooks, direct mail, inserts and other commercial print.

Also in the range are Royal Roto Fragrance, suitable for perfume advertisements and inserts, and Royal Laser Silk, produced at Sappi's Blackburn Mill, specially developed for laser printing applications.

All Royal paper grades are fully recyclable.
