Charles Worthington has appointed SPF 15 as the lead agency to evolve the digital strategy for its internationally renowned haircare product ranges.

The all-embracing work launches in October and will incorporate a relaunched website with updates on the latest trends, blogging by the founder himself, tips on getting celebrity looks and behind-the-scenes footage at London Fashion Week In tandem, SPF 15 is developing an ongoing eCRM programme

Charles Worthington's customer marketing manager, Lisa Barbour, said: "SPF 15 is a specialist in marketing to women, with unparalleled expertise in the digital arena and a results-driven approach.

"We were impressed by the agency's understanding that, while driving awareness and engagement is important, the ultimate measure of success is the bottom line.

"With more than 14 million women accessing the internet every month, SPF 15's combination of experience and market insight will be key in developing our strategy".

Tamara Gillan, SPF 15 managing director, said: "Our preliminary research shows that women spend an average of GBP10 per month on hair products, so every customer's loyalty is worth winning and keeping.

"At the same time, some 75 per cent of them switch brands every two to four weeks, representing both a challenge and an opportunity".

With an international following and first-class reputation, Charles Worthington is one of today's most influential and creative hairdressers.

With over 20 years' hairdressing experience, Worthington has four buzzing London salons seeing over 2,500 clients a week and a portfolio of six award-winning product ranges that are sold worldwide.

He remains hugely influential and has won British Hairdresser of the Year (twice), Men's Hairdresser Of The Year and, and in 2006 received an MBE for services to hairdressing.
