Douglas Campbell, chairman of the Mobilise Organisation, commented: "This is an exciting yet challenging time for us: we have brought together the UK's two leading membership organisations of disabled motorists so that we can build on our campaigning and services to members.
"Spencer du Bois has addressed the challenge we gave them and produced an excellent new visual identity for us.
"We can assure government ministers that they will be seeing a lot of our new logo as we campaign on parking, road pricing and other key mobility issues." John Spencer, creative director of Spencer du Bois, commented: "Mobilise needs to attract new, younger members so its visual identity needs to be distinctly different to the logos of many mobility organisations that are dated, uninspired and overly complicated, and make inappropriate use of the wheelchair symbol.
"Mobilise's new logo is simple and to-the-point: it suggests movement and mobility through the understated use of serifs and its black 'o' is a subtle, tongue-in-cheek reference to a wheel.
"The logo can also be accompanied by campaigning statements - Mobilise your life, Mobilise equality, Mobilise the future.
"The combination of black and orange gives both the logo and visual identity strength and confidence." A launch leaflet has also been created to announce the new organisation and provide guidance on the use of the visual identity in creating memorable marketing and promotional materials.
