British internet software developer Speed-Trap is Queen's Award for Enterprise Innovation category winner.

This prestigious annual prize is awarded to businesses that display continuous innovation and development to levels that are outstanding for the size of the company's operations.

Speed-Trap is a 25-person company based in Newbury, Berkshire.

Speed-Trap provides software that uses web 2.0 technology to capture and deliver complete, real-time data on every individual online customer and prospect - complete online customer insight.

Chief Executive of Speed-Trap, Geoff Shingles CBE, commented: "The challenge of the web is that it is a global phenomenon where huge numbers of users are involved.

"It's easy for enterprises and the public sector to treat people as large homogenous groups, but people are not groups, they are individuals.

"Speed-Trap has developed web software that lets enterprises give their customers the individual treatment by easy access to each and every person".

Shingles added: "Web retailers often only have a general demographic view of their clients; they can now stop and rethink and take their lead from the corner shop.

"Speed-Trap's software lets e-tailers treat online customers as individual people, just as they are when they visit high street branches or the corner shop".

Malcolm Duckett, VP Operations for Speed-Trap, commented: "By using our technology, enterprises can offer their online visitors appropriate and relevant advertisements and offers specifically designed for that particular person".

Speed-Trap is a Web 2.0 application which sits in each web-page deployed.

It is automatic to deploy, without the need for individual tagging and captures complete real-time customer experience and behavioural data.
