Software Bureau adds suppression to Cygnus
The Software Bureau has launched an enhanced version of flagship product Cygnus that includes an embedded Mortascreen file, the first time this has been incorporated into data management software.
The inclusion of the embedded Mortascreen file in Cygnus marks the first time this key suppression file has been incorporated into data management software.
Two more suppression files will also be embedded within Cygnus ES - the industry standard Mailing Preference Service and Equifax's Disconnect, further advancing the capabilities of the 'bureau in a box' software.
Cygnus clients, currently including Homeserve, Direct Wines and Tullo Marshall Warren, will now be able to run these files against customer or prospect data without it leaving their premises, providing added data security, better control and cost-effective data management.
This latest tier to Cygnus, a software solution that includes full training and ongoing support, will enable clients to suppress files, flagging them permanently or non-permanently at less than traditional bureau rates.
Additional suppression files can also be bought in and included in the Cygnus Suppression module.
David Murray, Sales Director, said: "The point of every product we develop is that it empowers companies to move forward from the traditional view that data is a complex phenomenon that is best outsourced or managed by someone else.
"Embedding these suppression files within Cygnus takes this a step further - enabling comprehensive end-to-end processing.
"By securing the Mortascreen file and these two other crucial suppression files, we feel like we've achieved what other software companies have been talking about for some time now".
Widely recognised as the leading name in independent data processing, Cygnus encapsulates a full range of data preparation techniques within an accessible software package - essentially a 'bureau in a box'.
Cygnus was developed by The Software Bureau in recognition of the need for an intuitive and comprehensive product for the UK data bureau market.
Current clients include Direct Wines, Homeserve, The Bank of New York, Tullo Marshall Warren, Golley Slater, Response One and Howitt.
