For the second year running SMP Group has picked up a trophy at the Quality in Print Awards.
The title of Display Printer of the Year 2008 was awarded to SMP for a 3D Solidvison project produced to promote the Tutankhamun exhibition at the 02.
The 3D SolidVision display was printed on a large format digital printer, a unique software programme was used to place the printed dots in precise register with the lenses on the sheet, thus creating a 3D effect.
There are currently other 3D and lenticular products on the market but SolidVision 3D surpasses all of these and the finished image is a closer representation of a hologram and gives a greater depth than any of it's 3D lenticular competition.
