Tutankhamun in 3D
To promote the magnificent and mysterious Tutankhamun exhibition in London, event marketing company SML chose to use a SolidVision 3D poster as part of the promotional campaign.
The UK has a timeless fascination and connection with Tutankhamun and the mysteries of Egypt.
In November 1922, British archaeologist Howard Carter discovered Tutankhamun's tomb, unlocking the most precious treasures the world had ever known.
In 1972, 1.8 million people visited The Treasures of Tutankhamun exhibition held in London.
Now 34 years later the Tutankhamun exhibition is back in London; Tutankhamun and the Golden Age of the Pharaohs is currently open at The O2 and runs until 30 August 2008.
To promote this magnificent and mysterious exhibition, leading event marketing company SML chose to use a SolidVision 3D poster as part of the promotional campaign.
The production of this 3D effect poster was produced by SMP Group, a London based point-of-sale manufacturer.
Jordan Wilson from SML Events commented: "We are extremely impressed with the depth, the 3D poster makes the image really stand out to passers by".
There are currently other 3D and lenticular products on the market but SolidVision 3D surpasses all of these and the finished image is a closer representation of a hologram and gives a greater depth than any of its 3D lenticular competition.
The 3D poster produced by SMP group is positioned across several key sites across London, to attract people to the event at The O2; locations include a window display at Planet Hollywood and a display at Hamleys, the world's largest toy store.
