Selectabase reveals direct marketing interest
Selectabase has announced a 47 per cent increase in the number of new enquiries from its website as companies look to trade their way out of the predicted economic gloom.
The company, which provides lists for marketing campaigns, ran an investigation into the unprecendented increase in enquiries.
Its findings revealed that new Selectabase customers were concerned about the current economic situation and were looking to protect themselves by investing in new customer acquisition through direct marketing methods such as direct mail and telemarketing.
Steve Sellwood, joint managing director of Selectabase, said: 'Having worked in the direct marketing industry for many years, I've seen similar spikes in interest during previous downturns.
'I get the impression businesses are facing a tough time for sure, but are trying hard not to panic and talk themselves into an even worse situation.
'Instead many are trying to take action early by targeting new business.'.
