Point of purchase and retail display specialists SDI Displays and Vivid Retail, both part of the AAC Group, have been merged into a single company, SDI Displays .

Each component of the new company, SDI Displays and Vivid Retail, has its own areas of expertise and client base By coming together, the range of skills and services on offer from a single source to retailers and sellers of branded goods has been greatly extended

The new SDI Displays company fulfils the complete supply chain for POP displays from concept to design, through prototyping to manufacture and volume roll-out into retail outlets.

John Cook, newly appointed MD of the new enterprise, believes that the enlarged organisation places them in a unique position in the UK POP and display markets: "In today's competitive market, top retailers and brands need to partner the very best in the industry and I believe, with the size and capabilities of the new consolidated company, that is what we now have available to offer.

"We can provide services from design concept through to finished product, combining the design and manufacturing facilities of two already successful companies in order to provide unique and bespoke display solutions.

"In future, we intend to expand and increase our service capabilities even further and will look to acquisitions to enhance our position in the market".

SDI Displays has over 140,000 square feet of UK manufacturing space and the ability to produce displays in a range of materials including sheet metal, wire, wood, board and acrylics.

Recent investment in production equipment has added laser-cutting machines for high-volume, close-tolerance processing of acrylic components to the existing vacuum-forming, injection-moulding and CNC-cutting facilities.

Integrated production routes have been introduced to reduce lead times and ensure high volume production capacity.
