Scott to present course at major science show
The Scott Partnership, a leading independent PR consultancy, has been asked by the organisers of Pittcon 2008 to present a short course entitled Using the Media for Effective Communication.
The course will focus on using the media to achieve business objectives.
The programme will take place over half a day during Pittcon 2008 at the Ernest N Morial Convention Centre, New Orleans, on 5 March 2008 from 1.00-5.00pm.
The comprehensive course will be aimed at manufacturers, service providers and distributors to laboratories and scientific customers worldwide.
The course will be structured to cover a variety of topics: online marketing and driving web traffic; the difference between advertising and editorial and what works; geographical reach and how the media can help reach target audiences.
The short course will be an interactive session with real-life examples and case studies.
The course will be co-hosted by Laura Browne and Fiona Robinson.
Browne is an Account Director at The Scott Partnership and has extensive knowledge and experience in designing, implementing and managing global PR campaigns and press events for a wide range of clients.
She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations and has a BSc Hons in Psychology and a postgraduate qualification in law.
Robinson is a senior account manager with specialist knowledge and experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors, having worked in the exhibition and events industry for over 12 years, she is perfectly placed to provide guidance and advice to those wanting to learn about media communication in scientific markets.
