Scala makes ranks of fastest-growing
companies
Digital signage specialist Scala has been ranked on the first list of 5,000 fastest-growing US companies and also placed among Philly's Fastest 100 growth companies
Scala, the leading provider of end-to-end digital signage software, has been ranked on the first-ever 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in the country The 5,000, an extension of Inc Magazine's annual 500 list, catches many businesses that are too big to grow at the pace required to make the 500, as well as a host of smaller firms

Scala has helped Banesto Bank, Spain's third largest bank in volume of managed services, to implement a digital signage network to enhance its communication with customers.
InfoChannel aids Moroccan Pharmacies
Impact Net in Morocco has deployed a Scala InfoChannel Digital Signage Network to show the newly developed Pharma Channel at more than 100 pharmacies throughout Morocco.

Scala also was recognised as one of Philly's Fastest 100 growth companies in the geographical braekdown of the 5000 list.
Scala's primary focus continues to be on providing end-to-end software solutions for centrally controlled digital signage networks used in a variety of applications.
Scala products continue to service our traditional cable TV, corporate communications, government and education markets as well as the rapidly increasing opportunities for digital signage networks deployed in retail, public spaces (eg airports, shopping malls and the like) and entertainment venues (theateres, amusement parks, casinos and so on).
In North America Scala has further expanded its presence and domination of the market for digital signage in the important gas station market with more than 650 gas stations now using Scala software.
One of the largest US Outdoor/Billboard operator in the USA continues to expand its network using Scala software to drive the largest LED Digital Billboard network in the USA.
Another interesting project is the deployment Scala software in office buildings throughout the USA.
The largest US shopping mall operator is now deploying Scala software in more than 60 malls throughout the USA, with more to come.
Scala has also made significant inroads into the casino market.
In Europe a number of new projects have been won with Aral (German gas stations), Dutch Railways (news and advertising on trains), Audi, Pharmacy Advertising Channel in Poland, Advertising Channel in Romania (retail stores and banks), Shell Retail in Norway (new displays added for carwash advertising), Hansa Banki in Lithuania, Telenor in Norway, DnB Nor Eiendom in Norway, IKEA in UK.
The rejuvenated Life Channel in the UK is alive and well again and is still one of the largest Digital Signage networks in Europe.
Rabobank also continued to expand its Scala based network in 2006.
In Latin America, Scala software is now widely deployed for advertising at duty free airport stores.
In China the Company has won a number of important projects with major transportation firms and in Japan, Scala just closed a large deal with a major industry player for their ASP hosted solutions.
In Macau, the world's largest casino, features internal digital signage and at the main entrance a giant outdoor LED display all driven by Scala software.
In Saudi Arabia Scala software is now used by one of the leading banks there.
The 2007 5000 reported median revenue of $9.4 million and median three-year growth of 140 percent.
The list features a profile for each company, almost all of them written as a result of interviews with management.
In addition, the list is searchable according to numerous criteria, including industry, city, state, region, and year founded.
The 2007 5000 list measures revenue growth from 2003 through 2006.
To qualify, companies had to be US-based and privately held, independent - not subsidiaries or divisions of other companies - as of December 31, 2006, and have had at least $200,000 in revenue in 2003, and $2 million in 2006.
