IDS Menus announces S-Series

A Scala Broadcast Multimedia product story

Scala Certified Partner IDS Menus, a division of International Display Systems, has recently launched a new product, the S-Series digital menu system.

The uniqueness of the S-Series is that it integrates Scala technology with flat-panel LCD displays into its highly popular S-Series menu boards.

This assures that a company can purchase one integrated menu system from IDS without the trouble of having to deal with multiple vendors.

Unlike traditional menu boards, IDS' S-Series digital products allow end-users to modify text for menu items, graphics and video "on the fly", reducing the time and cost required to update menu items for franchise and restaurant owners.

Some advantages of the S-Series' flexibility include: centralizsed control of all menu boards, the ability to test promotions and price points, and a multimedia platform for promoting your brand.

S-Series display screens are available in 27, 32, 42 and 46-inch sizes.

Bryan Lesseraux, Vice President of Marketing for IDS Menus, feels very positive about the hybrid S-Series system's anticipated success.

He said: "There's a real buzz in the industry about digital menu boards, but also a lot of confusion; we've created a user-friendly system that integrates with traditional menu boards, while offering all the advantages that networked digital signage has to offer.

"Needless to say, we're extremely excited about the possibilities".

As IDS has done with the S-Series, IDS listens to customer demands and then develops a practical solution to meet those demands and satisfy its customers.

Dynamic multimedia presentations, along with support and training to graphic design departments are just some of the advantages of the S-series digital signage from IDS Menus.

IDS Menus has received certified partner status from Scala.

Scala provides the award-winning InfoChannel suite of digital signage software, which IDS incorporates into the S-Series.

Scala InfoChannel enables easy access for restaurants to modify digital content on the menu boards.

Scala has further expressed their desire to work with IDS Menus.

"Scala feels that the synergy between our InfoChannel software and IDS' premier S-series digital menu board system is exceptional," stated Scala Chief Executive Officer, Gerard Bucas.

"We have provided IDS with a software solution that is cutting-edge technology and will assist many restaurant owners in becoming more profitable.

"Teaming up with IDS has helped Scala delve into the foodservice industry and give our products further exposure; this partnership is one that is fruitful for both companies and will continue to prosper into the future".
