Trusted brands utilise customer magazines

A Royal Mail product story
Edited by the Marketingweek Marketplace editorial team Feb 3, 2009

More than 78 per cent of the UK's most trusted brands regularly publish a customer magazine, according to research from Royal Mail.

Organisations including British Airways, Tesco, Virgin, Norwich Union, British Gas and AA were all recently named trusted brands within their respective categories (non-FMCG categories) by a Reader's Digest survey.

They were also found to publish a customer title as an integrated part of their customer communication strategy.

Furthermore, some of the brands featuring in the 2008 Trusted list also picked up industry awards for their customer titles.

Two-thirds of the titles representing trusted brands were additionally found to be distributed through the post, enabling these organisations to reach individual customers in a personalised way, unlike in-store distribution of magazines or above-the-line activity.
