Halls host diverse award ceremonies

A Royal Horticultural Halls and Conference Centre product story

The Royal Horticultural Halls and Conference Centre has recently hosted the Autocar Awards, The Sustainable Building Services Awards and the prestigious 2007 British Fashion Awards.

Catering for such varied industries illustrates the Halls' versatility as a multipurpose venue and its ability to transform to fit different occasions.

The British Fashion Awards sponsored by Swarovski recognise the strength of British fashion, so it was fitting that they took place at the Lawrence Hall - a venue steeped in British history.

Attended by fashion designers, models and celebrities, the event was exceptionally well received.

The Autocar Awards took place in the Lawrence Hall in November and with approximately 500 invited guests, including the CEOs of the Volkswagen Group, Ford, Ferrari, Mercedes-Benz and Audi, and key speeches from Bob Lutz, Vice Chairman of General Motors, expectations were high.

The show's organiser, Wendy Stonebridge, described the evening as a resounding success: "The show went extremely well - so much so that we are looking at using the Halls next year".

Publisher Incisive Media - having previously used the Conference Centre - booked the Halls for a series of award shows in November, including the Investment Trust of the Year Awards, the European Fund of Hedge Funds Awards, the Online Finance Awards and the unquote Private Equity Awards.

All events were a success resulting in an additional booking for 2008.
