Wisley Glasshouse opens as evening party venue
Royal Horticultural Halls has opened its magnificent Glasshouse at RHS Wisley in Surrey offering an exclusive and exotic event venue.
A warm summer evening, the delicious scent of exotic plants and the sound of a nearby waterfall - the perfect setting for a corporate event, if only the climate in England could be guaranteed.
Well, now it can, 52 weeks of the year, with the opening of the magnificent new Glasshouse at RHS Wisley in Surrey.
Within this garden under glass, three climatic zones provide the stage for a dramatic theatre of more than 5,000 different cultivated plants, featuring some of the most beautiful in the world.
Curving gently upwards to a height of 12.5m, The Glasshouse is large enough to accommodate mature palm trees and covers an area the size of ten tennis courts.
As visitors enjoy the three zones - dry temperate, moist temperate and tropical - winding paths take them past rocky outcrops, a waterfall and still pool, and up a gentle slope into the canopy of plants.
For any company or individual wanting to host a truly exclusive event, The Glasshouse at RHS Wisley is the perfect venue.
Available for evening events from 7pm to 11pm, The Glasshouse offers visitors wonderful views over The Glasshouse's amphitheatre Landscape Garden, designed by award-winning designer Tom Stuart Smith, and the splendid lake reservoir, which holds enough to water the entire garden at Wisley for two months.
For those events where the weather really is glorious, guests can wander outside to enjoy these magnificent surroundings.
Catering for up to 550 people, The Glasshouse at RHS Wisley is being marketed for corporate hire by the events team at the Royal Horticultural Halls and Conference Centre, the Westminster venue which is already well established in the corporate events marketplace.
Bookings for corporate evening events can be made through the Royal Horticultural Halls and Conference Centre.
Rene Dee, Managing Director of the Royal Horticultural Halls and Conference Centre, commented: "It is rare and exciting to have the opportunity of launching a new venue for the corporate hospitality market, but it becomes a true privilege when the venue takes the form of an exotic structure with the living decor of a world class garden at the beautiful Glasshouse at RHS Wisley.
"Over the past 16 years we have established the Society's London-based facilities as a leading multipurpose venue and I now relish the opportunity of establishing the Wisley Glasshouse to the same extent.".
