Ring2, the first audio-conferencing company to offer remote control of calls from a mobile device, is addressing audio-conferencing problems with a web-based version of its solution.

Ring2 will be demonstrating the full visibility, security and control of web-based audio-conferencing management at Retail Solutions 2007, which takes place on 5-7 June at the NEC, Birmingham Targeting businesses in the retail, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, transport and government sectors, Ring2's web control facilitates effective communications with full visibility, security and control of live audio-conferences from the web

Ring2 allows users to solve their conference calling frustrations, such as not knowing who is on the conference call or not having the control to add, drop or mute a participant.

The simple but powerful web-based control provides full management of conference calls from the user's PC, including the security and convenience of their own online account area to help manage calls.

Ring2's web control for audio-conferencing is being showcased on stand L24 at Retail Solutions 2007.

Visitors to the stand can view demonstrations of live conference status, including add, drop, mute, record and other features available to call leaders.

"If you've ever been frustrated by not knowing who's joined your conference call, not knowing how to add in another participant, or calls spoiled by distracting background noise, then Ring2's for you", said Steve Flavell, co-CEO and co-founder of Ring2.

"Our easy-to-use web and BlackBerry remote control provide simple and powerful management of calls, helping businesses to improve communications both internally and externally and increase productivity".

When on a conference call, the call leader can use the Ring2 online web area to: see who is on the conference call; join the call without having to remember the access code; add participants into the call; mute participants experiencing background noise; put a participant on hold to have a private discussion (or actively put them on hold to music if it's just a brief interlude); record the call for retrieval as an mp3 file directly after the call; guard against uninvited participants; assign billing codes.

When users are away from their PCs, Ring2 also offers audio-conferencing control remotely from BlackBerry smartphones.

The Ring2 Conference Controller for the BlackBerry pushes remote control capabilities for telephone conferencing to the user at the exact moment they need to use them.

As soon as the first invited participant dials into the conference, the call leader's BlackBerry handset is alerted, both acting as a reminder and also enabling one-click access to the conference.

The call leader can check out who just joined; monitor all participants joining and join the call from a phone of their choice.

With a single click, the call leader then has a simple remote control tool at hand to perform the same call management features as the web-based control.

Ring2 Conferencing is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Each Ring2 user has a personalised conference card and unique reservationless conference facility, with no need to pre-book a conference time.

In addition, Ring2 provides post-call email notifications confirming all the participants on the call and alerting the user that a call recording is ready for download.

Ring2 provides the world's first audio-conferencing service to offer problem-solving remote control from a mobile device, enabling simple and powerful visibility, security and control over conference calls.

Ring2 is a member of the BlackBerry Alliance Program and is a technology partner of Alcatel-Lucent.

The company won Red Herring's 2007 100 Europe award for hottest emerging technology in Europe and the company won Frost and Sullivan's 2006 Entrepreneurial Company Award in audio-conferencing for its pioneering work in mobile remote control.

Ring2 is privately held, has received $10 million in equity funding and has 30 employees in offices located in London and San Francisco.
