Swarovski

Research Studios' motion graphics department has just completed a project for world famous jewelry brand Swarovski to support the company's appearance at this years Baselworld event

Baselworld is the leading event for the watch and jewellery industry and is held this month Swarovski's 'Enlightened - Swarovski Elements' a new fashion-forward brand extension, featuring trend-oriented gem cuts and colours, is featured at the show which the organisors expect to be attended by more than 101,700 retailers and wholesalers from all over the world

Swarovski has become a global company in just over a century following the invention of an automatic cutting machine at the end of the 19th Century by founder Daniel Swarovski.

Now the company, active in over 120 countries, defines crystal creativity, while embracing contemporary fashion and culture at the same time.

Research Studios has worked on a complete multimedia solution for the brand's projections and plasma screen animations.

This involved animating the Swarovski logo to provide an end frame mnemonic for the video sequences that support the brand's runway appearances and stand at the show.

Alex Mazza was Art Director on the project supported by Chris Thompson - Senior Designer.

Mazza of Research Studios said: "This has been an exciting job to work on; Swarovksi is a world-famous brand operating in a fast moving and dynamic market that requires visual standout that has the ability to communicate with both consumers and trade alike".
